Thumbs down logging off - time interval to short

Hi there,

I was just writing some lengthy explanation how to solve a problem, as - upon posting it- I got a "you're not logged in" message. I'm sure I was logged in when I started answering. However, my writing seem have taken too long so I was somehow logged off automatically, and the text written has been lost. This happened twice already (on the different occassions, always when your writing takes to long)

So my suggestion is to lengthen the time interval used in the forum software which automatically logs of people as this is REALLY an annoying feature.

now I stop complaining as I don't want to be automatically logged off AGAIN.

Zardo

Have you ticked 'Remember me' in the login box?

yeah, you're right, sometimes I forget ticking this box

For security reasons, I delete all cookies and stuff from time to time so I have to log in rather often as the "remembering cookie" gets deleted, too.

You shouldn't loose your text, this happens to me if I come away from the computer whilst replying, when I log in then it posts the message as if I didn't need too. I don't use the remember me function so that the account doesn't get into the wrong hands.
