| T.E.D. | Too long a suggestion to write as a title so look.. As we get so many threads/questions asked by people who want to know somethinf common like, will these alloys fit or how can i turbo a car etc (the ones custard loves ) could we not havea little notice that pops up for say, the first 50 posts a person does asking wether they have tried teh search function? Just a thought as by teh time they've reached 50 posts (any many of the same ppl dont tend to bother) they will well have learnt by then.Jordan

| Forum moderator | Re: Too long a suggestion to write as a title so look.. A pop-up might be a bit annoying and off-putting but it mgiht be worth advertising the search function a bit in the forum 'welcomes' and newbie section

| T.E.D. | Re: Too long a suggestion to write as a title so look.. Thats kinda the idea, it wouldnt want to put people off but whatever way of trying to ensure people try to utilise the search function needs to be seen by new people or people who havnt been on here for a while and forgtoeen how it works. I mean, when i first joined i didnt even see the newbie section or any kind of guide to what teh forum is, i just saw a punto section and posted there. Others are more careful than me but i didnt know there was a no swearing policy (even though i dont openly swear on forums anyway). I just think something that would prohibit new or people who have forgotten the way this forum runs from lack of constant visitation posting FAQ's such as what engine, what turbo, what kit, what alloy sizes etc, would mean for a smoother more accurate and less clutterd forum.
