Question Sections by engine..

As the engines often cross models - e.g. JTD in Bravo/Marea/Punto/Doblo/Multipla and 1.2 16v in Brava/Punto Could we have a section dedicated to the different engines?

This would mean issues affecting one engine (failed MAF on the JTD) would not be lost in one section.

Ideas people?

Re: Sections by engine..

good idea but i think it needs a subtle link, maybe we should just have a FAQ on the engine questions, should make everything dead easy to find.

Re: Sections by engine..

It would get rather confusing and mean lots of engine sections. Just think of how many variants of the 1910cc JTD are about.

The Punto Mk2 8v for example has got a Brazilian engine as well as a European engine fitted to models delivered to the UK. The list is endless.

Knowing from clubfirepower some people do not get their head round what the difference between the SPI and MPI engines are or where they are fitted to.

To tidy this one up a pack of moderators would be needed.

Re: Sections by engine..

nah, the front page was cut short as it was getting huge, to add engines for each model would be crazy, it would be huge and the amount of people posting in the wrong sections the mods would have enough time in the day sort it.

Re: Sections by engine..

Beat me to it Ryan lol, was about to suggest that. Why not have a section in Guides where we can put FAQs for each engine type. Wouldn't have to be loads of sections, just things like FIRE, SuperFIRE, JTD etc
