mods have to pm us why our posts/threads are locked or removed

i am constantly having threads/posts deleted or locked, and i have no idea why, surely if we are not told why then how will we know what we did wrong and prevent it from the future? so does anyone else think when a moderator does as said above they should pm us, why? so then we dont think why the hell was that deleted?

Re: mods have to pm us why our posts/threads are locked or removed

In which case why don't you PM a moderator to find out, rather than post a public thread?

It would literally take hours to PM each individual concerned for the posts I have had to delete today alone.

I will discuss your posts with you here or via PM if you wish - all you need to do is ask.

as it stands just now its up to the mod.think that works fine.
most of the time theres an obvious reason such as inappropriatte subject matter or the thread decending into a flame war.

if you are constantly having threads deleted then look at your subject matter

Re: mods have to pm us why our posts/threads are locked or removed

In extreme cases then PMs are sent - several went out from me yesterday.

If anyone has a question they can either PM us or contact us by reporting a post, which will generate a new thread for discussion backstage in the moderators area.
If the thread has gone, report any post but explain exactly what you want to know in your report - the thread will still be generated and we'll report back if that's what you want.
