It would be useful if there was a Database of Car Specific Fault Codes and the resolutions that FF members have found to those problems.
Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

It would be difficult, and very time consuming, to compile such a list because there are so many codes, and there can be numerous different resolutions for the same fault code.
If you want to make the list though, I'm sure other members would find it useful.
This is another reason why dedicated EOBD / diagnostic programs like Multiecuscan and AlfaOBD are so much better then generic self-contained readers. Multiecuscan gives detailed model specific information for most codes, not just a number. It costs a bit more and takkes a little effort to set-up initally, but soon pays for itself if you do your own maintenance.
