Hi we have recently got a new fiat 500s and now we have a fault with the fuel low warning light comes on when it's got half a tank and the range is at ---.the fuel level is ok and reading half a tank. It's been back to the dealer 2x now with the problem but they can't fix it yet !! Starting to get a tad annoying as this has been in the garage now over a month. Any ideas / advice. Thanks.

Just to clarify here, this was a brand new Fiat 500 you recently bought from a Fiat dealership?
So the fuel gauge has an obvious fault? And the dealership seemingly can't fix the issue? The dealership will likely have full Fiat diagnostic access, so my thoughts are, why the hell can't they fix the issue?
Is the car at the dealership garage or in your own garage?
If the dealership you bought your car from can't/won't fix the car under warranty to your satisfaction, take it to another dealership, even if the next one is 20 miles or more away. That might be a little inconvenient, but a second look by a different dealership might resolve the situation.
I guess I've been quite lucky, certainly concerning the dash pod on our own 500 TA. The most local of the six dealerships within reach of me, swapped out the dash pod under warranty without any fuss whatsoever (and we didn't even by the car from them!) and cured the problem immediately.
Remember, some dealerships definitely are better than others and if another dealership sorts the issue, then you'll know to avoid your supplying dealer in the future.
