I think a link for a newbie section is a good idea - a 'rules of the house' sort of thing.

I have always thought a newbie section to be a good idea but last time it came up I think it was dropped due to too many sections and people happy in leisure lounge. After my recent trawl of forums, i think it would be a great idea. Another idea I like is to set-up a PM for new members which you could use to welcome them and send them to the newbie section and anything else you wanted to say. One other idea is that when someone signs up, a new thread is automatucally generated in the newbie section. Both ideas made me feel very welcome indeed

Well, yes - but how many of us never went into the LL straight away?! I know it took me months to find it, lol...[that seems so long ago, now ]

I like the idea, somewhere that they can directed to, either via a first PM or email, and then learn how to use the FF

It also took me months before I realised that there was anything outside the Stilo section It wasn't until my birthday came up and Paul said Happy day, there's a thread in the LL I was quite happy where I was until then
