Sticky Folder

I don't about anyone else, but when reading the Cinq Techincal section I have noticed that I am half way down the page before I start to read recent posts. What I am suggesting is a sticky folder (maybe not in the LL) at the top of each section to allow more recent posts to be read. this would still leave the stickys in a good place to access them as well.

What do people think?

Yeah I'd agree with that, have one place where all the sticky's from each section (i.e. Fiat Cinquecento / Seicento section) are all stored.

As the amount of sticky's in some of the sections takes up loads of space on the page.

how would ppl know whats inside the sticky folder (apart from clicking on it)

people may not know what the folder is, or whats inside it!

Could name the top sticky 'Please read before posting' Then link all the other stickys from this, with the appropriately named topics....

Good idea, as it is pretty cluttered in some sections. Although some people don't read sticky's before posting anyways. Or use the search feature....

I had been thinking about letting newly signed up members to choose their car and then only be allowed to read the stickies before being allowed to post etc, this would stop the inevitable posts of "Can I put 17's on my Cinq?" etc etc

It's a good idea definately it's annoying in the Leisure lounge too and I know there are even more elsewhere.

Surely the stickys can be merged, either by putting the text all in one post or by having one "Please Read" link to all the others.
