I'm getting the same problem as the OP, but it's not a .gif issue as it only happened after I reinstalled windows/Firefox. The whole head fades and re-appears, it's difficult to explain ...

If I'm on this topic. I have never understood why :-O (without the -) brings up
To me, :-O means like a shocked face like this one

OK, so this looks fine at home using Chrome. When I was at work using Firefox, the face would flash up, then as the tears rained down, the face would disappear from the top down at the same rate as the tears were falling?! Looked really weird and buggy. All the other smileys were fine though?

I guess I just have to put up with it when I'm at work. <-

@karbineftw, I've gotta agree with you there. It is pedantic, but you're right: :-O does not equal

Perhaps somebody realised their mistake, but wanted to avoid turning the "embarrassed" icons to "shocked" icons across the forum. e.g. "You were right, and I was wrong :shock:" changes the meaning! lol!
