Re: Auto Italia Concours - Stanford Hall

Re: Membership card suggestion [split from Stanford thread]

tbh if anyone called into my store saying they were a member of fiat forum i would go out of my way to help them

the concern would be how much of a member they are, 4 posts in 2 years and no donation etc

I will try and have a look for smaller packs.

We also need a design of some kind, and stick to that
that
but you might be able to use sticky back plastic for a cheap look
i had a half fair pass like that

Re: Auto Italia Concours - Stanford Hall

hmmm...I know you can buy smaller sized laminator packs for things such as this but i also think they're quite expensive...would have to make sure the membership card price covered all of your costs stu...could be done though

Re: Auto Italia Concours - Stanford Hall

why not set up a template (driving licence size) and we can alter it to our user name etc and sort it out ourself.

surely we all know someone with a laminator etc

Re: Auto Italia Concours - Stanford Hall

If we were going to do it - it would be done properly with credit card style cards - or at least thermal plastic printing.

I still can't see what they would actually be for though. Thats a bit more of an important question than how to make them.

Suppose we took for example:

Pay £10 a year.
Get a card which has an expiry date on it.
.... er .... and what else?

Some could argue that its just like a donation but you get a nice card, personally it seems more like exploitation (though of course, if 10,000 of you want to do this at £10 a year I'll be more than happy to accept ... lol)

I like the idea of an official club type thing - I just think we need to think more of the direction of why we have it and what will it offer, instead of just thinking "wow we get a nice shiny card!"

Well it could be used as proof of membership to claim discounts instead of printing out profile page all the time? There could be a member number e.t.c

Re: Membership card suggestion [split from Stanford thread]

tbh...i don't think there's a need for these cards...so the reason is purely because some of us would like them as an extra thing i guess
