Hello chaps.

The way the forum currently works, it's just not viable to give out member cards. The first reason being - why do we need them? It's not like you can use them anywhere, and you're hardly going to walk around flashing them at people - "how you doing?"

It could be argued that giving them to donated members gives them something to show off, but then, some people only donate £1 ... in the space of 5 years.... why would we want to go to the expense of giving them a card.

Only way we're going to start a card issuing system would be if we actually started a "club" up, with subscriptions (and thus dates - so cards can expire etc) ... which is all well and good .... but the same question comes up again ... "why?"

Perhaps this is best kept to another thread (feel free to start one somebody) - but I guess the short of it is - the way the forum/site currently works - membership cards are just going to be un-necessary hassle

I still believe access to all the forums, and technical advice, etc - should be open to all members, donated or not; that is the ethos of this place surely?!

If 'propper' fiat forum credit card style "member" cards were on sale for even £10 a time, I'd probably still buy one just to say I had one

it'd just be a nice thing really...and if they were like a tenner a pop you might even make some money on them cos i bet everyone would want one!!! What about just making them as some merchandise? like a card to display to get onto stands and things at shows...i dunno really...its just a cool idea!

yeah exactly and other forums get them lol...maybe if we had cards we could negotiate bigger deals with high street shops for discounts...be cool if halfrauds gave us discount!
