donations toll

Right i know i submit quite a few ideas and most of them get dismissed straight away but i think this one may be a good 1.

we have an individual figures for each person saying how much they have donated and that may make people a bit more competative and pay more to get more in their "pot" of money.

also can we have statistics posted once a month? like how many new users how many posts threads donations and so on?

just some ideas dont slay me

Re: donations toll

Daft idea IMO - as Custard says it would most probably turn elitest. Also, some may not be able to afford more than others, others don't want to publically donate etc.

Also, donations are optional - people only donate if they wish.

Re: donations toll

Both sides of the argument have merit. It appears that at the moment people can donate under their names or anonymously. I think it should remain as it is, although I wouldn't agree to any individual running total as some may feel embarassed if they can't afford as much as others. Which reminds me; must donate something come pay day.

Re: donations toll

Why not show how much has been donated under user cp? Least then it's only visible to the one person and not everyone.

Re: donations toll

I know how much I donated however I wouldn't mind knowing within my usercp when I did rather than trawling through pages of donations. I don't see any implications because the information is for my viewing only. The only issue could be coding such a feature.
