Hi All
So winters here again and now i'm only doing 7 miles to work instead of 38 so my heater takes a while to start working. Had the car coming up to 3 years now and can't fault it apart from engine warm up. No over heating or anything and once up to temperature heater works fine. So on doing a little research it seams that the 1.9 multijet (JTD) engine sometimes has a auxiliary heater which is a small manifold with 2 or 3 glow plugs in it fitted in the heater pipe somewhere near the EGR heat exchanger to aid warm up. So my question is has any one of you got one fitted, is the wiring there somewhere to fit one as I believe it works by engine ECU, and could any of you take a photo of one fitted so I have something to work on. I believe any Fiat/Alfa with the 1.9 diesel can have them fitted so I'm hoping other members who have different models can help if the Sedici section can't. Oh and thermostat is working okay as well.
Kind regards Stephen.

I had the same issues with my Sedici. I replaced the thermostat assembly and the heater starts to give heat in under a mile. It is not the easiest thing to fit but certainly cured my problem.
Len:)
