Hi, getting a second hand Sedici at 40,000 miles tomorrow. Diesel 1.9 eleganza, 2007.

My current vehicle is a Toyota Hilux '92 with 220K on the clock. I took the engine out last week and it is being overhauled, and I suspect this is going to take quite a long time. I use it to drive down a rough track to where I have my caravan and go camping. The Sedici should manage especially in the summer time, and the caravan is already there so it won't have to tow it off-road.

I'd like to lift the suspension on it by an inch or two, which will avoid it getting damaged by bottoming out. Probably stick with the same size of tyres, but get something more off-road capable.

Anyone have any experience doing this? I've seen a couple of kits that are just (over-priced) spacers inserted under the springs, but I'm thinking it should really involve:

Spacers for the springs.
Longer shocks, to compensate for them being stretched out further, or they won't work so well and it will be bouncy.
Possibly other adjustments to ensure wheels remain aligned, correct camber, not stressing CV joints and so on.

I've emailed Rocky-Road to see if they will ship me an SX4 one to the UK. (Sorry can't post link but google rocky-road sx4 lift kit).

Does anyone think this SX4 lift kit will fit a Sedici? Any other suggestions on where to look?
