Hello, I'm Newbie Sedici owner here with a very limited knowledge of cars.

I bought my Sedici 1.9 multijet last July, has 54,000 on the clock, and has developed a problem no one I've spoken seems to be able to diagnose.

When pulling off it has problems with power until I reach 3,000 revs when it suddenly kicks in. Hill starts are a particular problem.

I drove it 180 miles yesterday but had to keep dropping down gears to keep the revs up.

Can anyone advise what the problem may be?

Thanks for looking

hi alb
Just bought a sedicii today with same problem , did you find out what the problem was ?

Any update on the above?

I have an issue where my 1.9 2006reg is struggling and juddering in low revs.

I have been caught out a few times pulling away from junctions when there is no power and I have to rev it up to get the car moving.

Have you read the stored codes.

Are the temps and pressures ok?

Is this a vehicle you have know to run well for years.. or a recent purchase.??

Hi Charlie

Not read the stored codes.

Temp and pressure are fine.

Had the car 4 years with no issues until 2 months ago. The juddering when driving in any gear has been there since the start of the issues but the loss of power has come on rapidly over the last 2 weeks.

I've been close to purchasing glo plugs, replacing dpf but I just don't believe it's those that's the issue.

Passed the mot 2 weeks ago and the garage doesn't see any issues when driving it. I believe they just don't have the time to investigate it.

Thanks again

Update.

I've had the egr replaced which the car starts great and no loss of power at junctions and standstills. However the juddering in gear is worse. A colleague suggested MAF is damaged/worn. We took this off and bang, the car is still running but even better there is no juddering.

Ordered a new one to fit soon. Looks like the mystery is solved after a few months.
