Hi, I have been loitering on here for a few months. I need help on how to get the window winder off the rear door so that I can take the panel off. Please help before I get the hammer out of the tool box.

The service manual shows placing a rag behind the handle, one end in each hand, and tugging in the opposite direction of where the handle is pointing. This dis-lodges the plastic ring to one side, and the handle slides off. I've tried attaching a picture, but don't think it has worked.
