If you're having problems selecting 2nd gear when cold. This helps on ours...
If changing up from 1st to 2nd gear when cold try shifting at a much lower speed than normal (almost crawling speed).
If changing down from 2nd to 1st whilst slowing also try shifting at a much lower speed than normal.
Changing the gearbox oil made little difference.
