Hi to all,

Recommend the Vauxhall/Opel "Laser 5843 fuel filter removal kit" if you plan on opening + re-sealing the fuel cannister on the diesels.

Fits perfect.... £16.75 on ebay at the mo.
(You will need 1/2"D ratchett and vice clamp)

Quick removal guide..
Disconnect battery on cold engine.
Drain filter cannister using screwdriver to undo drain plug on side/bottom.
Remove top electical connector.
Remove two fuel lines by pulling grey connectors inwards.
Remove bottom electrical connector... Will need a screwdriver to prize up a metal wire lock/spring clamp to release. (it will fly if not careful).
Lift cannister upwards to remove.

Place cannister into removal tool base.
Place base into vice + secure.
Undo lid with removal tool + ratchett.
Replace filter and rubber seal.
Refit lid and tighten to 30ncm.
Reinstall cannister + connections. (insert + pull back on fuel lines to lock)
Turn on ignition + wait for fuel to circulate + fill canister. (may take 3 ignition primes)
Check for leaks.
