Technical Sedici DPF Issues

fixed the problem one yaer ago:
100 euro for buying a straight pipe instead of fap, removed the fap, installed the pipe.
50 euro for buying MPPS software and OBD cable.
read the ECU of my car.
removed fap into the ecu with ecusafe software (downloaded for free)
written the new file into the car with MPPS.
no more regen, no more clogged fap....
clogging percentage read with FES is always at 0%.
I take out the EGR plate, sometimes tha car has a little esitation around 1500 rpm but nothing important....

i'm not sure, but in my idea when the car has a lot of miles, the dpf it's clogged in a way that it can't be cleaned by the car...
so the other way is put a new dpf....
it's more expensive!

The "DPF" collects soot from engine emissions.... The "Regeneration" burns the soot (to clean).... The soot turns to ash which cannot burn.... Clogged "DPF".

Be aware... New vehicle inspection checks in the U.K. Include checking cars with a DPF for alterations.

in Italy, fortunately(?) for the moment no one checks for dpf when you make biannual vehicle inspection....
If it's like this in england, for me only way is to buy a new dpf...

What is the oil degradation level showing?

Thanks for this pointer. We've had the flashing oil light through 3 services. One by a main dealer and 2 by local garages. No one understood or fixed it, usual comment was 'probably a faulty sensor'! The car won't regenerate if it thinks the oil is really old, so we ended up with the DPF light on. Thanks to this forum and particularly this thread I got the latest MultiECUScan software and a modified ELM cable and have reset the oil age and also forced a regeneration so the car is running fine now.

Big thank you to everyone here, great forum!
