Hi guys
I need to get hold of a paint touch up stick for my 07 plate sedici

I have checked everywhere in and around the car looking for a sticker
with the paint code on but found nothing.

Does anyone know if the sedici has a paint code sticker attached ?
or is it a case of going to the dealers with the chassis number ?

cheers
Alan

Should be okay giving the main dealer the cars registration number and they can trace the colour.

But if sourcing elsewhere the paint code can be found on the VIN plate.....
Open the bonnet, look down and to the far left of your engine bay by the driver side wing. You should be able to see the Identification plate (from memory starts with "Suzuki" plant).
Ours was a three letter code towards the end "ZFS" (Sunlight Copper Metallic).

Genuine paintstick wasn't a great colour match.... Heard it's because they use environmentally friendly, water based paint in them.

Hope this helps. (y)

Thanks for the reply (y)
I phoned the local fiat dealer and they got the paint code via the reg number.

just need to get a touch-up pen from the local spray store,,used them in
the past and have been happy with the results on previous cars.

thanks again
Alan

Alan and any other owner who read this - You are correct in that unlike other Fiats theres no Paint code sticker on the bodywork. Probably as the Sedici is built and as such painted in the Hungarian Suzuki factory at Magyar. I have one of the original sales brochures from 2006 which lists all the original paint choices (and codes!) in so if anyone needs a code - message me your colour and I'll pass on the code.

OK to make things easier heres the Paint Codes and colour range for the UK Sedici - these are from the first series of Sedici into the UK from the the brochure dated 03/2006.

SOLID:
Space Rock Red - 982
Castlewalk White - 983

METALLIC:
Hard Rock Black - 975
West Coast Grey - 976 (Dark Grey)
Techstep Grey - 977 (Light Grey/Silver)
Indie Green - 978
Stomp Blue - 979 (Dark Blue)
Live Blue - 980 (Mid Blue)
Glam Sand - 984
Bambuco Red - 985

I think there were a few additional colours in later cars until imports into the UK stopped 2010/11'ish.
Ours is Glam Sand - the colour used in the first UK brochure and dealer launch into the country.

Good bit of info Nello :)

On our Sedici, the paint code on the VIN plate is a Suzuki paint code ("ZFS").... called "Sunlight Copper Metallic" in Suzuki terms. Wonder if it would have been a better colour match using a genuine Suzuki paint stick instead of the Fiat one???

chumba - I'm pretty sure in saying the Sedici Paints were totally unique against the SX4. Are you sure thats the paint code on the VIN plate? Don't think it references one on ours?

The VIN plate on our Sedici is marked TYPE towards the bottom and stamped ZFS at the end... the code for the Suzuki "sunlight copper metallic". Quite interesting to see if it's definitely the Suzuki factory paint code stamp Nello or just coincidence.

Here is a picture of a similar coloured fiat to ours....

And here is a sunlight copper metallic Suzuki...

Definitely looks similar.... and Suzuki list two slight variations of the same colour.

Maybe they liked it so much they borrowed some or our car saw the Suzuki badge comin' and did a runner??? :ROFLMAO:

That Sedici in the snow is mine. It's bambucca red and usually looks more orangey.

Good luck getting the right gear to touch up yours. Mine has a ruined bonnet from lots of motorway driving. Could do with a touch up itself!

I swear I have not been stalkin you StSedici... Got the photo off the net + hope you aven't copywritten it. :)

(P.S. it's the best colour in the sunlight.... no offence to other owners.)

Ha no its fine. Would have come from this site. Don't mind it being shared, although I take issue with you hanging around outside my house!

Back to paint talk, I think Fiat paint is brilliant. My orangey red is over 5 years old but still polishes up beautifully. Must be the Ferrari links.

and Maserati. :)

Paint is definiteley listed as Fiat code 985, rojo bambuco on our Sedici as you and Nello say... but after trying the genuine Fiat paintstick (it was naff)... found the ZFS paint code on the VIN where it should be... ZFS = "Sunlight Copper Orange" as used on the SX4... wondering if Suzuki have their own codes for the mix/blend.
Deliberate or coincidental ... I give up on the holy grail and will put up with a spotty car.

cmm ours is Glam Sand - that metallic Goldie colour used in the brochures. Ours also polishes up brilliantly but its probably because it was given Fiats 'Lifeshine' treatment before delivery. Definately worth the expense. Its a paint protector coating. The panels feel silky to touch even after just washing......

Chumba I still think the colours are different - photos can be misleading but pretty sure the Bambuco Red like cmm's car is more burnt red against the SX4 sunlight being more copper coloured.......

As an aside has anyone else seen the latest colour ranges:

Rebel Violet to you Sir :)

Apropos of nothing, I've touched up our Glam Sand 984 code (oo er missus...) and the colour match is terrible (too dark by several tones using genuine Fiat touch up).

Maybe I didn't shake it long enough - I'll have to take it off and have another go, I think.

Anyone else found this?

I've got a glam sand colour sedici but I've noticed on my vin plate in the engine it has a suzuki plate and paint code ZFF which sand gold. So should order this one rather than the fiat colour?
Thanks
David

Makes mental note to go and re-check his paint code (see post above yours...)

I too have a Glam Sand Sedici, and used "Fiat Quality 400ML Aerosol Can 984 - Sabbia Impeccabile Met" (with clear lacquer to finish) from victoria-autoparts on Ebay. I sent the seller a message explaining the Suzuki ZFF colour code, just in case this was relevant.

The colour match was perfect.

Sorry I can't post the URL (I haven't done enough posts yet), but if you search for the above description on Ebay it's easy to find.
