W###er has broken into my van

Some tosser has screwdrivered my driver's door, rendered the barrel useless as the key just spins around when I try it, do I need a new barrel, a complete new handle and barrel or am i looking at something else. The handle is undamaged, they have gone straight under the handle and obviously opened it somehow from there, got away with nothing as empty hahahahahah tossers but if I get locked out I am stumped as no keys on NS and full steel bulkhead in rear so back door no good, that I have just discovered won't let me in either as I cannot even get the key in. I have a remote key obviously but if goes down or lost I am in deep lol, Thankyou for your help

You will have to remove the door card and the lock to repair the damage. You could also remove the mechanical key lock and fit a blank plug. It means you are stuck with the remote key only but its a clear advert that it cant be screw-drivered.

One way they work is to drill a small hole in the right place through the door skin so a stiff wire can trigger the door lock.

Something like this will stop that. But a small sheet of stainless stuck over the inside of the door skin with panel mastic also does the job. Ordinary drills go blunt in stainless.
