Please can someone tell me why the power wire for my alarm say it must be connected to the fuse protecting the interior light?

Is it because the interior lights comes on when the doors are opened therefore telling the alarm if the doors are open or closed?
or
Is it because the alarm needs power when the engine is off and the interior light is a constant supply?
or
Is it because they couldnt be bothered to fuse the wire themselves?
or something else

Thanks

Umm would imagine it'll be for the sensor to tell the alarm the doors are open. Some top alarms i.e. Clifford run from a supply from the fusebox so theifs can't just snip the powerwire coming from the battery.

It were proper Bo i tell thee!!

thanks, u will not believe how annoying it is when things dont work!

Thanks

suposedly, its wired to the interior light fuse because the voltage drop will be higher at this point when the interior light comes on. most alarms have current sensing as a trigger.
