Alarm Settings

Ive recently bought a fiat punto sx 60 and it came with an aftermarket alarm by SPAL. I cant manage to figure out how to use it exactly because I dont have any instructions or anything. I manage to lock it by fiddling with the buttons but i can never make it open from the remote. I opened the hood and there is the alarm unit and it says its a SPAL SIR 2 model and cant find any info on the net about them. Maybe someone has any experience with this particular model ? I could really use the help
