| Re: wiring up a alarm I fitted a cobra alarm into my uno so have a good idea here.. red that connects to a 12+ volt constant supply.. This goes to the battery + terminal brown that connects to a negative instant trigger.. This goes to a switch that will be earthed when an action occurs. For example: A simple "door open" switch would have one wire, +12v, when the switch makes contact, it touches earth and completes the circuit. So you could try putting this wire to the input side of your door switches. Or you could connect everything up, and then just touch this wire to earth and see if it triggers the alarm. black that connects to ground wire.. Any vehicle earth, or better still the - terminal on battery blue that connect to the red led wire (this i know) and a black on the led that connect to the ground again.... Yes, this will just flash an LED If you still haven't got this sorted give us a shout or whatever. I just wanted to add: If you are serious about this doing anything to secure your vehicle, at least position it well out of view behind the dashboard. Thatcham standards actually make your run the wiring hidden with the main vehicle loom and all sorts, so just make sure its not easy to "snip" the wiring.
