Looking for an external ultrasonic alarm, chirps when it senses somebody near the car.

any ideas?

in the end i decided on a Clifford G5 ARROW 5.1

and got the proximity sensor aswell :)

prediction on next weeks new topic by GrandeJ - someones broke into my car because my chirpy noise attracted them

or kids running up to my car........I've had to disconnect many permimeter alarms because of this but its grandej's car/money so good luck.

please dont get one of those talking ones that say "warning this car is alarmed"

no it just chirps :)

proximity sensor is not the same as ultrasonic, they usually use microwaves instead.

on the clifford dual zone you need to disable the 2 meter zone otherwise it goes off in carparks.

i still cant help myself with proximity sensors, i just have to set them off, you'd think i could resist by my age but i cant.

i remember when i was a kid there was a porsche that had a talking alarm with proximity sensor. it would warn you, then threaten you, then give you one last chance, then trigger the alarm. the owner ended up removing it because we wouldnt leave it alone. happy days.

clifford, cobra, sigma, toad, falcon they all do proximity sensing alarms but id say go with clifford they are a very modable alarm system.

make sure you dont set the sensors too high coz ull get kids ****in around with your car, mine chirps when lorrys go past or if your within 30cm of the car

4 chirps within a minute and the alarm sounds but you can alter that in cliffnet on the laptop
