Re: Steering Wheel Locks

Depends on your budget and how much space you have to store it I have a Disc lock and its a heavy bit of kit...
you need to know the Diameter of your steering wheel before you buy..

can be had in argos for £65

Re: Steering Wheel Locks

the problem with a bar type lock is that you only need to cut the steering wheel instead..

would be worth reading the Thatcham info gives a list of cat 3 locks

Re: Steering Wheel Locks

I have a Stoplock X-cel. Great visual deterrent, full Thatcham approved and it all folds up into a carry case in the boot. Muck smaller than Disclocks.

No-one notices alarms anymore but one of these will stop theiving scum (or at least make them nick a less protected car nearby!)

Type "Stoplock X-Cel" into google to see it.

Advantage of an alarm over a steering lock is it hopefully stops them from wanting to break in rather than the steering lock just slowing them from steeling the car.

Speak to your insurance company they should know the best ones out there, and they may discount your premium if you fit a model they recommed thus the lock will pay for itself!!!
