Scudo Jtd Non-runner

I Have A 2001 Scudo 2.0 El Jtd, She Ran Fine But Will Now Not Start. Glow Plug Light Doesn't Come On, She Turns Over Fine But Won't Fire. Diagnostics Could Not Talk To 'brain', He Back Powered Ecu Via Glow Plugs, Seems To Think Relay And Ecu Are Ok. Can Anyone Give Me Wiring Diagram Or Let Me Know Which Pin Numbers Power Up The Ecu? He Only Has Diagrams For Dispatch And Partner Which Are Different. Please Help!!!!!!

Hi, i have had a similar problem today with my scudo 2.0 jtd it was fine until today when i was driving & i noticed the EOBD warning light came on which according to the handbook indicates of a fuel feed/ignition system failure all of a sudden the accelerater didnt respond & then car just cut off it turns over fine but wont start, things ive checked so far are cambelt, fuses which are ok. has anyone had this problem & found the solution as i only wanna go do the dealers as a last resort as the fiat dealers in notts have a bad rep unless someone can recommend one in notts all help/advice appreciated

Re: Scudo Jtd Non-Starter

I also have scudo 2.0 Jtd 2003 132000 miles
Will start first time when engine is cold, but after a long run will not start at all when hot. All ignition lights etc come on, but engine just cranks over. I have to sit and wait for half an hour till engine cools down before it will start again. Bit awkward this when I'm double parked in the middle of city centres doing a pick up. Garage have replaced both fuel pumps and temperature sensor, but problem persists. I have a cat 1 imobiliser fitted, but the Alarm fitter assures me that ignition lights would not come on if there was a fault with the alarm unit.
So if anyone can help or advise I would be really gratefull

With regards to other members asking about loss of power. I have had this happen to me in the last few weeks. The Fiat agent changed the gate valve, no difference. My local garage changed the flow meter, No difference. They then pressure tested the intercooler and found that there was a leak. This was changed and the van now really accelaerates. Just a quick point. Check all your turbo hose connections, if there is a slight leak, you will get poor performance and acceleration.

Re: Scudo Jtd Non-Starter

My Scudo 2.0 jtd would not start when hot, turned out to be one of the injectors being faulty letting the fuel pressure drop. Had the faulty injector changed starts every time now.

Note: This problem didn't show up on fault finding scanner, mechanic at garage phoned his mate at bosch technical, he told him to look for back flow on the injectors, which it was, but only on one injector.

Re: Scudo Jtd Non-Starter

Could be the crank sensor! Could cause similar results.
