Right I'm no mechanic I'm more of a have a go and if it breaks while I try and learn something ill pay someone and blame the wife
Exact sizes on tools, hex etc could be off on them sorry but step by step anyway as I couldnt find anything online so I was going by the skid of my pants!
Photos where taken in reverse order so ill try and go through steps where I can. Assuming you know how to take wiper arms off (mark the possition with tape - reading online is the thing to do lol) take off rubber cap and you need a 13mm stocket for that.
You don't need a tool to take them off just wiggle them up and down left and right and they soon pop off!
Take the plastic trim off that uses T8 screws i think there are 5 of them, once that lifts your left with these locking nuts
I think its a 28mm to remove them
At the very back of the linkage you will see / feel a bolt and nut sticking out remove that nut it needs a 10mm spanner for that
Once that is removed move on to the air box centered smack bang in the middle again 10mm nuts remove the two in the front and one either side pull the box towards you and move that to the right of the engine bay - this gives you more room to pull the linkage out.
Pull the linkage to the right and turn it on it's side so you can remove the power cable
Your left with something that looks like this my one arm was badly rusted and locked up - thankfully the motor I purchased off ebay came with 1 linakge arm cost me £35
Put a flat head screw driver between the ball and the arm and lift up (dont know the tech terms sorry) but everything comes away easily enough
This pin was locked in tight i had to smash it out with a hammer and then cut the end off and it finally gave up. I think this was part of the reason the motor died was struggling to move the wiper arm maybe?
Wrapped a screw driver in some sand paper and cleaned the inside out.
Added the new pin and greased it all up, done the same to the other side might as well service it while I'm here
Motor was removed by using a socket to undo the center nut and then t10 hex bits to take out the screws swapped it over just easly enough
Put everything back to gether the arms sit on them ball joints easy enough just use a plyers to press them back on.
Good as NEW. Returned back to engine bay in reverse order.
In the photo above you can see the center arm that goes from the motor to the main wiper arms is facing downwards? This caused my wipers to run in the wrong direction.
While it was installed in the van I had to remove that center bit. Run the wipers ONCE WITH NO ARMS ATTACHED. Then I re-connected the center arm to the motor with the center arm facing up well at 11oclock this reset the starting and end points for me perfectly.
Hope that helps someone in the future, sorry about the spelling!
