Head gasket went today... catastrophically smells of burning etc. I'm in two minds as whether to repair the van or scrap it.
It has a full mot as of last week, has done 120k, 56 plate 1.6.
Body work fairly clean, little bit of rust on the back of sills but in the engine bay the top of strut mounts are seriously rusty and the engine bay in general is quite rusty.
Would it be worth dropping a new engine in or just get another van?
