Hi. Can anyone help. I changed the fuel filter on my 05 scudo. After changing I went to start and it ran out of fuel due to air in the line. I loosened the bleed screw and the pushed the pump button which drew the fuel thru and push the air out and did the screw back up. Van started, ran for 30seconds then stop.

I repeated this several times with same result with the pipe before the bleed screw filling up with air & the van stopping.

How do I get rid of the air. Is driving me a bit mad as thought was a simple job & need to use it for work tomorrow !

Hi fit a one way fuel valve in line between tank and pump the fuel is running back the line.

Get it started again then dive in and drive it at decent rpm (say 2500 to 3000) for a couple or five minutes around your local block. Worked for me after advice from Renault commercial fitter. BUT don't stray too far from home, just in case!
