2007 Scudo 1.6 totally dead !

Just bought a Scudo van on spec, knowing it will not start.

BUT worse than I thought...

Central locking working.
Both front windows not working.

Insert key and turn on, all lights come on on dash.
Wait a few seconds and the EML is still on and the battery light is flashing.
Turn key and NOTHING.

Have charged the battery and was planning on trying the Bsi reset, as quoted by all the Citroen and Peugeot posts on forums, but because the windows won`t open I am a bit warey.

Can anybody help me with my dilema please.

Should have stuck to buying Ducatos !! ( then again, problems...... )

worth using a jumper lead from battery NEG to the engine and chassis, as a dodgy main earth cable would cause chaos..,


IDEA ; do the lights dim when you turn the key..??

To be honest i never really took much notice.

Will try it in the morning.

Have the thing on Ebay, to see if I can get some money back. In the meantime I will keep trying to get it to start.

Tried jump lead to engine and still the same. Nothing.......

Hope somebody buys the thing !! Good deal to anyone ?????

Van sold today so no more problems to worry about.

Garage lad bought it on spec that he can get it running.

I wasn`t here when he came for it but wife reckons he plugged in some box that over ruled the ECU and drove it home.

Anybody know what he might have used. Could it have been some diagnostic device that was self powered or something.
