Hi there, went out to start my van other morning and would not start. Would not turn over. Anti polution on display. The van was running perfectly when parked up with no warning lights. As long displays economy mode. The battery was found to be faulty and was replaced, but it still shows faults. Wondering if there is any kind of reseting process to go through or is it a fiat only job.

Thanks

I had anti pollution not too long ago and had problems starting at times with it I changed the egr valve and was fine. Before buying one you can disconnect it and try starting it and it should start up fine. It's all 10mm nuts located down the back of the engine on the passenger side. Egr cost me about £80

FIAT only - NO..

you just need a device that will read and clear the codes.. ;)

we tend to use MultiECUscan,
but around 10 quid will get you a basic device

Hi,

Turns out the fault was the body control unit. It's been away for testing and found to be faulty. Only trouble is whatever caused the failure also disrupted the information on it and it now requires to go to a fiat garage for re-coding once back in the van. Hopefully back on the road next week. Cheers

no fiat/alfa speclialists near you..??,

they tend to have the same "examiner" kit as the dealers,

but without the suits/ties and charges..,
