Hi all, thanks for taking the time to read this

I have just had the head changed due to a crack and over pressurising the coolant system.

It was all put back together yesterday but the battery had gone flat from sitting around, i have charged it fully ( its only 6 weeks old)
i took it to the mechanic this evening. he fitted it but the engine turns slowly
the voltage is 12.9 volts and drops to 9.8 on cranking
we jumped it off another car and it was 13.7 and 10.6 on cranking but still turns over slowly.
we then tried bumping it down the hill and nothing at all. towed it back to the house and it sounds like its turning a bit faster but not enough
it started fine before the head was changed..
He is now saying it may be an air lock in the fuel but i cant se why that would stop it turning over properly.

I dont think he knows tbh as he was googling it.

Am i just being fobbed off or is it just an easy problem to solve.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Dean, was the starter good before you replaced the cylinder head; was the engine timed properly by the mechanic, no harm to check if the belt is out a tooth?
There's a forum called the PeugeotForums http://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/vans-16/, post your question there as your van is the same as the Peugeot Expert. There's a guy who goes by the name of reliable406, this fella is s,hit hot at fixing these type of vans and he'll tell you exactly what's wrong.

Thanks ror getting back. yes the starter and battery worked fine when i gave him the van. he said the battery went flat trying to start it.
i will have a look at that link. otherwise i may need to take it to another mechanic
