My Scudo was running fine there is no engine check light. But I put diagnostic on it and came up with P0299. what is it pls help? thanks

P0299 relates to low boost pressure.
If no light is on, it could be an old fault, no longer a problem. Unless you are suffering a loss of power.
Clear the code, then if you are worried about any issues, check again after a few normal journeys.

Hi yes suffering a loss of power and i always have this fault codes P0299. i Clear the fault code but after drive it still come back and that is no engine check light up how:bang: thanks for your help.

The fault code relates to low boost pressure, so without enough boost, less fuel will be injected, so less power.
So you have to find where the boost is getting lost, or why it is not producing the boost.
Start by checking the whole intake system. Start at the air intake, and follow the route through, to the air filter, then to the turbo, to and from the intercooler if fitted, then to the manifold. Every pipe, hose and connection needs to be carefully inspected for leaks, especially after the turbocharger. A trigger spray with warm water in might help, as it will blow at you from any leak area after the turbo.
If no problems found there, you need to investigate the turbo itself, and the wastegate. Does the turbo spin freely, and does the wastegate operate. It might be stuck open, so reducing pressure.
Also look at any exhaust gas recirculation system. These get dirty and stick open, reducing power.

Hi portland_bill thanks so much for all the info you have give me appreciated.i will try my best to solve the problem P0299. can check i still have a code P1351 what is it ?

Hi portland_bill

Can I check with you, my mechanic jet up the vehicle and told me to rev the engine and see the turbo is working. but after a few times, was told that the Turbo Charger Vacuum Box not moving. Is it true that the turbo is spoilt as told by my mechanic?

The vacuum control is the wastegate. It measures boost pressure and opens and closes a by-pass channel to control the boost pressure. If it is not moving, either the diaphragm inside the module is split, or the control flap is seized.

If just seized, it may be possible to free it off, but if the turbo needs dismantling that is a specialist job. It does look like a replacement is needed. In the UK they are reconditioned, hopefully you can find similar near you. If a replacement, make sure it is the same.
