Have seen several other threads but not one which is as specific to this issue.
(please moderate accordingly)
Took dash out last weekend of my 1.9, 2000 scudo. Came out fine and the wiring i was adding was all successfully connected (speakers, tweeters etc).
Anyways after putting it all back in i noticed that my aftermarket (prefitted) key fob wasn't locking the doors. Turned the key in the lock and where it would usually trigger a central locking between the two front doors there was nothing. Dont get me wrong the doors work and lock but there is almost a slight resistance through the key turning.
Have traced the aftermarket locking mech and the wires run up to both doors were i assume they go to solenoids or motors to drive the locking mech.
Have checked fuses and have scoured the internet to find fuse box schematics. Have also traced wiring to door jamb which seem to be unbroken or damaged in any way. Have also found that the aftermarket locking mech runs shunted to the battery to provide a permanent live.
Will investigate within the doors but seeing as i didn't mess with them in the first place im a bit reluctant to imaging the problem is there.

To end a thread. Removed the aftermarket kit which looked very cheap and just replaced door lock barrels. Bit 90's to have to lock doors individually but hey ho.
