General oil for scudo

SAE 10W-40 synthetic exceeding ACEA B3 and API CD specs (it says in the handbook). If it's very cold, 5-40; if it's exceedingly cold (-15C) 5-30.

2006 2.0 JTD RHW Engine 16 V....Garage puts in Fully Synthetic 5/30
(Main Stealers recomend Helina Semi synthetic?)

Hi, and welcome, :)

I'd use 10/40 Semi, as it's dirt cheap @£15 at wilko for 5 litres.

It may well benefit from a couple of changes over a couple of thousand miles..
just remember diesel oil carries the soot from combustion..so goes BLACK pretty quickly;)

you may find a manual in the downloads ( link on FF homepage "banner",)

Re: oil for scudo & oil leak 1.9D

Charlie - I thought I had already replied to your last post but unable to see my reply..?? (apologies for a lack of response this end but I seem to have lost 2x replies already..?? also need to familiarise with website)
Hope you get this - I'm now on my desk top & well away from iPhone..!!)
Thanks for oil info and Wilko only down the road in Malton.. brilliant
Don't mean to 'load you up' so to speak but I have 2x other problems which I need to sort fairly quickly..
1. Quite a serious oil leak which seems to be coming from the RHS of top of engine..?? (serious meaning dropping approx. egg cup full+ every time I stop)
2. Throttle pedal very stiff - feels like a strand of wire in cable causing 'stiff' action to operate, but always returns to normal tick over.. need to put quite a foot full of pressure to increase revs..
Unable to find manual for 1.9D (2004) but will keep looking..
Many thanks again,
Ian
