hi last sunday i brought privately 2005 Scudo JTD van.

there is some issues i would like advice on please.

1.Radio wont work, it needs a code and there isnt one.any ideas how i can obtain one?

2. the van has central locking (not remote) I put the key into drivers door and it unlocks all the doors except the rear passenger sliding door. if I put the key into the sliding door to manually unlock it the key just spins. so im not sure how to unlock this door.

3. when i first start the van the odo meter will say 3200 for about 3 secs before changing to 98,000 miles. What does this mean?

4.The gear stick is really wobbly. im finding it hard to tell which is neutral or not and have stalled it a few times what can be done to fix this? and how much is it likely to cost?

answer to your questions

1: ebay/internet to get code, just need serial no. off the back of the radio, check this is not in your handbook

2: sounds like a broken barrel quite easy to replace

3: sound like its the count down to the service

4: all scudo expert dispatches are like this its the normal like tossing an elephant off violently

Re Jumbo I do hope Kris is not a Lady :0) ! Also 2; the spinning lock-should not affect central locking-possibly one of the actuator arm wires on the lock mech might have fractured or fallen out, this might also cause the barrel to spin?. Best to take panels off both doors and compare.
