Hi I'm new to this site and was looking to see if anyone has had similar issues with a 2.0 JTD Scudo.

My 06 model is developing a vibrating noise when it reaches about 40mph. At first I thought it might be vibration from the side loading doors as they weren't sealing properly, however even with the doors ractchet strapped shut the noise still apapears when I reach about 40. I had a look at an earlier thread from 2008 that suggested dirty fuel injectors causing engine noises, however I'm not 100% sure that I am expereincing the same noise symptoms as the other members.

Other than the noise the engine seems to be performing normally and there is no excessive smoking from the exhaust.

If anyone has experienced similar or has any suggestions it would be great to hear from you.

Its defo engine? Just thinking this could be unbalanced front wheels if you have had tyres changed or even suspension wear?

Thanks Andy. I'm not 100% sure it's the engine. There are a few creaks when moving off from stationary so the cv joints may need looking at. I'll check that first. There's no vibration through the steering though just the noise.

Hi Again. Apologies for not updating earlier. Turned out to be a failing wheel bearing on the drivers side front. Shows how much I know!

Well at least you've got ears that work and can tell something's wrong, even if you don't know quite what it is!

Unlike the woman I followed in her bmw a while back, who was swerving about going along, and whose tyre came completely off the front n/s wheel rim and overtook her going down a steep hill, she must have driven it with a flat at about 55MPH for a few miles!

Bloody Mad Woman lol!

Seriously, I have had wheel bearings go noisy, they say that if its noisier on one turn than t'other you can pinpoint if its inner or outer bearing...appalled when I saw the mangled state of mine....slightest noise now i get them checked out and have both replaced
