2003 Scudo 2.0jtd, intermittent problem with starting, no lights come on and fault code is undefined 1537H/5431,
it usually starts ok in the morning and dislikes starting aging after driving and getting up to temp, it will bump start though.
The engine turns over and it builds up like it trying to start but just doesn't quite make it. Crank position sensor and mass air flow sensor have been changed already. theories so far might be cam position sensor or EGR any help would be great feels like i could end up changing lots of parts to find out the problem :bang:

So it turned out to be the starter motor!
I replaced it as it had just began to sound knackered I thought this was from the extra working it was getting due to recent long cranking trying to start, so thought i will change it as i would do it regardless........and hay-presto it has fixed the problem I can only surmise that at times it was not spinning it fast enough.:slayer:
