Hi everyone, my 1999 Scudo has a brake light problem. When I press the brakes the left indicator lights up solidly. When I indicate left without pressing the brakes the indicator and brake lights flash. Could this be brake light switch?

Sounds like some wires are chaffing off each other on the loom. Try wiggling the loom around where it goes into the back lights. If they start working normal, you'll have a pretty good idea that's where the fault is.

That sounds more like an earth issue to me.
A slight variation on Disco Light syndrome, Pull the connector out the back of the light fittings and give it a squirt and clean up, as well as contacts on the fitting, then check the multiplug if it's got one, and put back together and try it.

However don't take what i've said as gospel, i have only once worked on a scudo that age, and more knowledgeable people with that model might know some secret little thing. :)

Thanks for the reply, found all the wires in the loom exposed at soldered connections under the bonnet. I taped them up so hopefully this solves it.
