ive just joined this site hopefully someone can give me some advice
ive got a 2.0jtd that the gear shift went all sloppy and could only select 3rd and 4th now on investigation one of the brackets that holds the cable had snapped and had been repaired with Araldite i have bought a unit from the scrappers but need to access behind the console,before i make an attempt to start ripping out the console is there an easy way to go about this

had to get a mate in the trade to sort it due to it being a ballache
