Hi all. I've probably entered this twice. Apologies if I have. Does anybody know if there ever was a splashguard for the old shape Scudo? While driving through heavy water recently, the van cut out. The stop light came on and I was stopped for 2 hours before it started again.
. The air-filter was damp, not soaked,so I did'nt get water into the engine. After having it looked at and driving ok,a day later (having not driven the car) I had the same problem. The car would start but any pressure on the accelerator would cause it to cut out. 2 days later it was fine and no problems since. Help.

Yes,there is a splash guard, think I lost mine when the van was towed out of very deep mud...and lack of probably contributed to recent cambelt troubles. Mind you, make sure the big black floppy hose (air intake) end is tucked into the NS wing cavity just beside the battery at that level. I have seen it trailing down behind the radiator on some hanging just above ground...not good with puddles...if your filter is damp then some water must have gotten through....sounds as if you were very lucky!
