Hi guys!

I recently acquired a 2000 Scudo and it is behaving very weirdly.

It won't stop running when I take the key out of the ignition for some reason. Bizarre!

Today I decided to have a look in the fuse box, see if anything was up with it or just to pull the fuse to stop it running, and when I pulled on the bonnet catch the engine cut out! Double bizarre!

Any ideas anyone?
Apart from this, the van seems a-OK, apart from all the locks being knackered, but I gather that's "a thing".

Assistance much appreciated, and thanks in advance!

James

Sometimes pulling the bonnet catch has no effect... but opening the bonnet and slamming it shut does the trick.

What fuel system is on it ie common rail or rotary pump ?

To be honest, I'm not sure.

It's a 1.9l diesel, model EL and is on a W (2000) plate.

Cant remember if they have a pump solenoid or not that would be the first point of call of it has also check all connections around the engine bay etc
