 how do i remove the gear knob? Hi just bought an x reg 2000 1.9 scudo, need to remove the gear knob so that i can fit a new gaiter. I have tried pulling and twisting but it doesnt seem to budge,dont want to use too much force in case i do some damage is there a specific method that i need to use?? Any help would be much appreciated  (its just a standard manual gear stick)

| Re: how do i remove the gear knob? Managed to get it off!!  turn to the left (with a bit of brute force!) so that the gear knob is upside down then pull it up and off
