General Scudo TURBO??

New to this guys so dunno if im posting this in the right place. Anyway, Ive been looking for sometime now to buy a Scudo and recently came across one in my budget, a Turbo EL V reg, however..... the dealer whos selling it told me it needs a new TURBO. To be honest i wouldnt know what one looks like or how to go about sorting out a new one. The dealer doesnt buy or fit them.
Does anyone know how much these things cost and is it really needed?? easy to fit?? someone told me theyre £200 ish, is this about right? and also if replaced will the vehicle drive as well as with the original??

As for fitting I would recommend a garage as not a home job. Technically you are supposed to remove the manifold but if yor lucky you can get away with it...its at the back of the engine. You will probably be looking at 4-5 hours labour.

Unless you get this car very cheap I would walk away.

By the time a new turbo is bought and fitted i suspect you'll be close to the price a tidy van would be
Surely a dealer has contacts to fix it cheaply himself

Checked out some Doblos online, very Kangoo/partner looking....maybe a bit longer, seem affordable too. I basically want one for a camper conversion, but i think a scudo is more up my street tho.

Seen a few Scudos over the last few days which have been 'non turbo'. Just wanna ask, Is the difference in a turbo to non turbo massively different?
i mean will a non turbo still be nippy a get good speed, mileage etc or will it lag and be quite sluggish???? Im guessing they'll be cheaper as well, cheaper insurance??

Want to get some good advice here so i can go out in the next few weeks and bag myself a potential surf camper van. Cheers people, any help would be great.

I would hold on (and keep saving) until the right one comes along & yes get turbo model. The non-turbo (this applies to doblo aswell) are quite gutless and you will regret non getting turbo version.

Could test drive a non-turbo but make sure you go up along hill

Hi is it possible to remove the turbo from the rear and downwards without removing the manifold.
