| EGR/Injector Hi all, Want to remove/clean/replace my EGR on my 2000W 2l JTD Can someone point me in the right direction. Am a competant spanner monkey, but having only had this van for a few weeks am yet to familiarise myself with its engine bay. That's mainly becaue some useless idiots at a two bit garage have had it most of that time and it still doesn't run right! It's either a dodgy injector, they say they removed and cleaned one that appeard to be sub standard, how they can tell this without a proper tester who knows. And what they did to clean it baffles me just as much. Either that or its my affore mentioned EGR, however, I didn't have the problem ( slight loss of power and feint judder upon acceleration ) before they had it. Lesson to be learnt people, Fiat may be expensive, but they'll stand more of a chance of sorting you vehicle without bull**** and stories. Thanks for any help, Dave.

| Re: EGR/Injector Thanks Alan, I assume front left of the engine isn't as it sits in the engine bay though? Also, where do I find the boost solenoid? Thanks for your help Dave

| Re: EGR/Injector Right, I've had a poke about under the bonnet, and can find the two little actuator valves bolted up high. I can't for the life of me get anywhere near where I think the EGR is. Also, after a drive this weekend of about 15 miles where I had my foot down a bit harder than usual, I went to the back of the van to find little spots of what I think is diesel up the back door, not much, but enough for me to notice.. Is this a sign of overfuelling? does this still point to the EGR, and if so, how the bugger do I get to it. Or does it point to a dodgy injector possibley? Thanks for any advice..

| Re: EGR/Injector Hey there, I have a 52 plate 1.9 non turbo which when at a constant throtle (around 50mph in 5th gear) causes a stutter or hesitation. I have had it diagnosed and on the advice of the garage had the sensor injector replaced at a cost of £240 including labour. This has still not fixed the problem, and despite the van being back in the garage a further 3 times they are unable to diagnose any further problems. Could the EGR valve cause this type of problem, and if so can it be tested and cleaned to be used again, or is another one needed. Thanks for any help Mic.
