| extra rear seats Scudo Just bought a set of three (double and a single) rear seats for my 07 Scudo They are the factory made removable ones that latch into runners. I also purchased the seat belts. My question is how do I fit them and what should I look out for. I can't see any dot punch marks to drill out floor pan or and logical place to anchor the seat belts. Any help please??? alan

| Re: extra rear seats Scudo Just bought the same, Fitted mine by assembling the seats fitted into the rails. Offered them up in the van as one unit, marked the rail positions, took out the seats, put the rails back in place, maked the holes and drilled through the van floor and used 12 pukka bolts with Extra large washers underneath to ensure a secure fit. BE CAREFUL, that before you drill, you're not above the fuel tank, or a chassis rail that won't allow you access to the back of the nut. Took me an hour and a half. As for the seatbelts, I've not fitted them yet, but it looks fairly straight forward, there are telltale holes in my van to show where theyd go, I just need to figure on how to sort the captive nuts on the back of them. Hope that helps. Oh, and for the rails, I cut the plylining so they sat on the van floor, then relaid a thick rubber matting to raise the floor level to the height of the rail runners, if you know what I mean. They look factory fitted. Dave

| Re: extra rear seats Scudo I found captive nuts welded to underside of van floor for all but three of the bolts Drilled up through centre of the nuts then enlarged the holes from the top with a countersink so as not to wreck the thread the remaining three holes I used 8.8 grade bolts, lock-nuts and big washers Seatbelts, access front ones for guidance I had to drill a small hole to take the little ant swivel pin 20mm away from the existing fixing hole for the roller mechanism The top anchor point, yes I will have to make an access hole big enough to feed the nut through as there seems to be no captive nut. Got less than 2 hours to finish the job, pack the camping kit, attach 16ft canoe to the roof, throw in some warm clothes, collect five kids an set off for an unknown campsite nr. Hay on Wye for a well deserved break

| Re: extra rear seats Scudo original mount... Not sure but it all seemed to fall into place especially the bottom bit. Will check out the isobars link now. Yes nice clean wind blowing off the sea, no trees, no hills but Birmingham is not the best place to find such conditions!!!
