| Scudo Turbo lag ??? My X reg scudo coverin roughly 100k miles is goin through a very annoying turbo lag phase. It seems from reading through this site that I should check my turbo wastegate. ![]() I'm not too bad with engines etc.... i know what a turbo looks like and does but wheres my wastegate? how do i check its operation on my own? i'm assuming that by reving the engine you should see or hear it opening. Man i need help ![]() oh and should the 2.0 jtd rattle when revs pick up? think it might be bearings in alternator?

| Re: Scudo Turbo lag ??? YEY after a long time of frustration and stress i tore appart the air intake system banged out the air box, checked the air filter ( its clean ) aha! air flow meter, that looks a bit dirty.... yep its got some wierdo oily deposit on it. Cleaned thoroughly with strong fairy liquid mix and allowed to dry, it is silver after all ! ! ! put that all back together and whats this intake hose with what seems like factory standard holes in it ???? taped them up.......... left till the morning and yey it goes again.... Never underestimate what the air flow meter does.
