Fiat Scudo 1.9D Year 2000

Am test driving a Scudo 1.9D tomorrow and wondered what you thought of their reliability and fuel consumption .. I've heard the fuel comsumption is high. Would be glad to hear any good/bad points.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Fiat Scudo 1.9D Year 2000

I get around 38mpg and find that acceptable. Van reliable as it's well serviced and looked after. There is of course the usual niggles like the rotating locks and the recent one of the heater fan controller being fried!!! I also found that the battery was underspec. and didn't last, so replaced it some time ago with higher capacity model.

All in all happy and no other reliability problems, good Mr Scudo, serves me well.

I am very heavy on the foot but average is 38mpg. Can top 40+ on runs up north, but there are so many cameras brick on the pedal is not available as an option

Service it, use the gears, not the brakes, that's the secret.
Mr Scudo will wag his tail and work better.
