Hey guys!

Planning on buying a OnePlus 3 in January and thought I should get a decent satnav app as well. I currently use Here WeGo (formerly Go, formerly, Here Drive...) and while it's pretty decent, I keep getting caught in the wrong lane by delayed or no lane instructions. (n)

Has anyone had an experience with the Navigon Android app? It seems to be pretty damn slick and professional, with the added bonus of a lane guide. Saves me having to approach every roundabout in the right-hand lane because my satnav hasn't told me which exit yet :bang:

Why not Google maps? Always worked well for me

Also, good choice on the OP3, I've had an OP2 for a year now and love it!

Unless they changed it, it took be down a route that involved two roundabouts, and kept having me go round the both over and over until I eventually just guessed the route. It also asked me to rate the journey half way through and doesn't advise exits in time. Mostly personal opinions that make it hard for me to like it! :(

Thanks! I'll be coming from an iPhone 5C so even if the phone didn't work it would be doing much better than my current phone (y)

The Google maps on my OP3 has never caused me any issues.

Google Maps is probably the best one to use on android. No need to download anything and take up memory on the device. Also gives live traffic updates. Saved me 2 hours on a trip to Birmingham last year as it told me an accident ahead before any overhead signs did. If it hadn't I would have missed my mates wedding!

Whoa saved by the bell!

They seem to use the traffic reports from Waze users I believe, which makes it super quick! The only thing is (and maybe it's been fixed now) is it kept asking me to rate routes and change routes during travel, one point it had me going round two roundabouts twice! :bang:

EDIT: Just realised I already said that... Haven't had my morning coffee yet!

I've never been asked to rate a route so they might well have fixed it. It's also good because you can download different areas so if you know signal is poor i.e. lake district, you can still use it offline and not worry about getting lost. Obviously you lose the traffic updates that way though

I use Here maps by Nokia very accurate, free, offline and works on Android and iOS like a charm, Navigon is one of the best but cost a lot

Sygic Great app free 7 day trail or lifetime licence atm for £13.49 With lane navigation plus offline maps so can use it without any wifi/data great app in my opinion

I’ve always used Navmi - it’s free, offline -so no data use and regular free updates. Reminds me of my old garmin but with more features.
